Immediately after the occupation of Jerusalem, the occupation enacted the"Freedom of Access to the Holy Places" Law, which allowed Jews and foreign tourists to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque after they were prohibited from entering it , during the rule of the West Bank and Jerusalem by Jordan.
