David Ben-Gurion

Ben-Gurion Airport was named after David (David) Ben-Gurion, who was the first prime minister of the occupying state. The position in 1948 was to unify the many defense organizations that existed then in a single force called the Israel Defense Forces, and also encouraged Jewish immigration to Palestine.
