1948 war
Palestine was under the British Mandate. In 1948, the British government pulled out of Palestine, and the Jewish Council in Tel Aviv declared he establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. As a result, a war broke out between the Zionist forces and the Arab Armies. The war ended in the defeat of the Arab armies and the Jewish occupation of Palestine, including Wes Jerusalem.
