Al-Isra’a and Al-Mi’raj Night Journey
Al-Isra’a means the journey from Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, which is the first Islamic opening of the Holy City. When Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, entered it, he lead the prayer of all the prophets, in the squares of Al-Aqsa Mosque (which was empty of buildings at the time). And this journey says a lot about the greatness of this mosque and its status in the Eyes of Allah the Almighty. It is the only place on Earth that witnessed the gathering of all the prophets.
