It’s considered part of Al-Aqsa Mosque. It’s located near Bab Ar-Rahma

within the Eastern Wall. It has a cemetery, a gate, and a hill, and other

landmarks. There is a dispute regarding this area between Muslims and

Jews. The occupation tries to take over it, using various ways, or the

ambitions they have for it. They seek to implement Judaizing projects, like the cable bar, the biblical gardens, their allegations, Jewish prayers, and other stuff.

Choosing Bab Ar-Rahma Area

The occupation’s attempt to take over Bab Ar-Rahma area was, and still is, for achieving the spatial division between Muslims and Jews.

The Abandonment of Bab Ar-Rahma Area

In this area, there is a land, of 4 dunums, that is full of waste, dirt, and stone.

This led to the distortion of this land and depriving Muslims from praying in

it.

Planning to Take over Bab Ar-Rahma Area

The occupation always tries to take over Bab Ar-Rahma area. To do that, they’ve prevented the Islamic Endowments from guarding Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates, so that they do not set conditions for entering. Therefore, settlers have started to rebel and enter the mosque. Then, they started hold their events and meet near Bab Ar-Rahma area, to offer their Jewish prayers in it.

Neglecting Bab Ar-Rahma Hill

This hill was abandoned, because it had no mosques and was far away from the Muslim assembly areas in Al-Aqsa Mosque. People used to immediately head to the roofed mosques, and that’s how t got eglected.

Taking over Bab Ar-Rahma Cemetery

The occupation tries to take over the cemetery right next toBabAlRahma, that is outside the Eastern Wall. They aim at implementing settlement- related plans, as well as turn the area into a business and tourism area, to attract tourists.

The Cable Car above Ar-Rahma Cemetery

One of the occupation’s Judaizing schemes is the cable car. The ccupation’s authority plans to build it above Bab-Ar-Rahma area. By doing so, they practically besiege the entire city. The track of this cable car starts from BabAr-Rama cemetery all the way to Silwan Town.

Replacing Bab Ar-Rahma Cemetery with Biblical Gardens

The occupation wants to take over Bab Ar-Rahma Cemetery, to build biblical gardens over it. For now, they took about 200 meters of it.

The Occupation’s Allegations Regarding Bab Ar-Rahma

Recently, the occupation has claimed the ownership of this gate, under the pretext that it is a remaining part of their alleged First Temple. In fact, All what the occupation aims at is building a synagogue in this rea.
