Commemorating the Occupation of the Entire City of Jerusalem

On the 28th of the fifth month in the Hebrew calendar, the Israelites commemorate the anniversary of occupying East Jerusalem in 1967. In that day, the entire city of Jerusalem has become under their control. They usually celebrate by taking to the streets of the Old Town. Thousands of settlers participate in this provocative march. This happens amid tight security measures imposed by the Occupation’s police on the Jerusalemites. The police deploy tens of security barriers at the perimeter of the Old Town, to secure the march. Al-Aqsa Mosque gets broken into several times during this day, and Talmudic prayers are performed collectively in it.
