Omar Mosque
When Omar bin al-Khattab entered the city of Jerusalem, the Patriarch of Jerusalem invited him to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and pray in. He was afraid that if he prayed there, the Muslims would consider the Church as a mosque,he went out and prayed in a courtyard next to the church, after that, he built a mosque and called it “ Mosque of Omar”.
