The mosque is located in the center of a lively area crowded with Christian and Muslim visitors and shops specialized in the sale of antiques and popular fashion, and is the most prominent Islamic symbol and witness to the tolerance of Arab Muslims and coexistence with other owners of other religions and sects.
It is said that the minaret of the mosque dates back to the Mameluke period, it said that the mosque built in the year 870 AH / AD 1465 AH.
