Location relative to Al-Aqsa
Located southwest of the Old Town, in Harat Al-Qurami, 300 meters from Bab al-Qataneen near the school of the Islamic Orphanage.
Reason for the name
Named after Al-Qurami neighborhood where it’s located.
It is an old mosque with a library and inside the library, the owner of the mosque and next to it is a prayer hall for women.
It has a water cycle, a waded and a mihrab with four windows and two gates, it surrounded by the tomb of Sheikh Mohammed al-Qurami, next to the mausoleum is a 9-square-meter prayer hall for women.
The mosque is located within an architectural complex that is located in one of the historic Jerusalem shops that known as the Marzaban Hai Al-Qurami today, located near the bath of Alaa Al-Din Al-Basir.
It attributed to the founder of Al-Qarami Mosque, Sheikh Shams Al-Din Abu Abdullah Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Turkmani, In Damascus in the year (720 AH / 1320 AD).
The mosque and the Zawiyeh are within the confines of Prince Nasir al-Din Muhammad ibn Ala al-Din Shah ibn Nasser al-Din Muhammad al-Jubaili in the aforementioned Mahalla, which had a great belief in the shaykh al-Qurami and a third of his property.
