This corner is located southwest of Al-Aqsa Mosque, near Al-Magharibah Gate. It has a colored niche with a Mamluk style. It was built upon the orders of Judge Fakhr Ad-Din Mohammed bin Fadlullah, during the time of Mohammed bin Qalawoun. it used to stretch over the area that reaches Al-Magharibah Quarter, but it was demolished by the occupying Zionist Entity in 1969. What was left was only a court that has remnants of buildings that were once there in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Fakhrya Corner Abu Su’ood
The Fakhriyya corner was named after its location near the Fakhriyya Minaret. Also, it was called the Corner of Abu As-Su’od, after the Jerusalemite family that resided in it.
