Al-Omari stated about this well saying: “And in the west side there are three wells; one of them is known as AL-Kaas ( the cup ) because its top resembles a long marble cup”.
Al- joura Well (Al-Kaas)
It is located west of Qubbat Al-Sakhra (Dome of the Rock). It is medium sized with a rectangular shape. It’s up to 4.8 in diameter, and 3.6 wide and long.

Located to the east of the museum building, a rectangular room. It is 17 meters long, 12 meters wide, and 7 meters deep. It has two openings. Al-Omari stated as describing it:” Near the honorary corner, one.”
The Black Well
It is located north of Al-Qibli Mosque and east of Al-Kaas spring. The largest well, with a capacity of about (8 million litres). It is 40m long, 30m wide, and 14m deep. The well has three openings.
The Western Well of Al-Ka’as
It’s one of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s wells. It’s located west of Al-Ka’as Spring, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. It was named after its location. It’s a rectangular Medium-sized well
