The Arghoni School

Located in the southern side of the iron door and its entrance outside the iron door next to the school of Katunya.

It was considered as waqf by Prince Arghun al-Kamali (before the year 758 AH / 1356 AD), where he was ruler of the alSham during the reign of the king Al Kamil Shaaban. In the late years of his life, Argun went to Jerusalem and settled there and was buried in his school in general (758 AH / 1357 AD). Then, completed its construction after the death of its stand Rokn al- Din Baybars al-Saifi the following year. Used in the period the Ottoman Empire as a hostel for Jerusalem deputies, and the governor of Jerusalem, Khader Bek, came down in (897 AH / 1492 AD). A section of this school turned into a house of residence, and the other part was the burial place of Sharif Hussein bin Ali he died in 1350 AH / 1931 AD. Who led the revolution alongside the English against the Ottomans year 1334 Hijri / 1915 AD. The British prevented him from returning to the land of the Hijaz after they had given birth to a son Saud against his son Prince Ali, and his exile to Cyprus.

However, it was satisfactory and returned to Amman after less from the year he died in trustworthy.
