The judge, Zayd al-Din Abd al-Basit Sunnah, ruled it (834 AH / 1426 AD).
Located above the northern corridor to the west of Hetta door, was its original entrance via a stairway from inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, but the stairs are demolished and the door closed.
Judge Abdel Basset was arrested for its architecture and a dignified endowment in the Sur Bahir village, where the wheat transported from the village to spend on students and teachers, and carried his name, it was a great school famous throughout the Muslim world, where many came out scientists studied and preserved many modern narrators, doctors, astronomers and mathematicians, either Today, it consists of two sections (a community section of the Al-Jar
allah community), and a section that uses the school headquarters which is located outside Al-Aqsa and which today serves as a school for the disabled.
The school housed ten orphaned children on a permanent basis, and was turned into a residence for the Jerusalemite families.
